it's true–
this is my verdict:
partner dancing
relies on
heart, heart,
heart!

no heart, and it's
an exercise of two bodies
desperately 
flailing.

perhaps the right connection
begins
in the eyes.

our breath meeting
in the space between us,

sharing heat,
filling space,
