Oops! Darn! I'll update the post so it's clearer!

As for world tours, it's just a matter of someone, somewhere deciding they really want us to teach, and we'll come as long as we can figure out how to cover expenses through the workshop. Want to help us out with that? We'd love to visit! :)

I read your page here. I'm totally feeling your idea of Poi. Its probably very similar to how I think of Poi. Its not a competition like you said. I like the meditative aspect of Poi very much. I get lost in it.. I've done Poi to a few different styles of music from techno to .. enya .. with rock in between. It's all about feeling something and expressing it through your movement with the Poi. It can become quite beautiful.. I've become pretty obsessed with it myself O_0. I do it everyday and I'm at the park doing it any chance I get. People come up to me almost every time and ask me what it is and some stand by and watch .. its really cool. I had a little kid ask me to do a fire spinning performance for his midnight 14th b-day party! hehe That was cool. I have some videos of my Poi on the website I linked. zarklon22 on Youtube. Peace! And Keep on Spinning!!

Actually, I found out through talking to someone who took a vintage blues class and through watching Damon and Heidi's video of vintage blues, that a lot of what David and I do naturally to the music (without having learned them as moves with names) is vintage blues - stuff like slow drag, strutting, ballrooming, fishtails, shake 'n bake (or some version it - the accent of it reminds me of the accent in bachata). We're just now starting to research these moves that we can reproduce on demand for a student say or as some requirement - must have at least one of each time in a vintage blues dance or some such thing, rather than hit and miss (it comes out if it feels like coming out - which is how we dance blues socially).

What was sweet about the trio, who by the way, called their gig "Come On In My Kitchen", was that it was just them sitting on chairs with their guitars and one harmonica. Not only that but we got a taste of their improv skills as they would do songs in the round, with one person leading a song that he knew while the other two worked off the melody, filling it up and improvising.
