Why "Allroom" Dance?
Many of you, like us, simply want to be able to dance with another person wherever music is playing, whether at a wedding, company party, nightclub, restaurant, family celebration, or elsewhere, without worrying about what footwork or style you are dancing or "should" be dancing (eg. foxtrot, waltz, salsa, etc). So, we've examined the concepts that allow two people to dance together no matter what the occasion, environment, or music, and this is what we teach.
With a simple twist of spelling, ballroom dance has been taken from the ballrooms and been given new life in every possible situation - two people, if they desire, can dance in any room, to any type of music, without the limitations of any particular style of partner dance.
Allroom Dance:
Learn to Dance with a Partner
We welcome social dancers of all backgrounds and abilities to join us for a lunch time dance workshop. We will share the music, steps, and techniques of different forms of social dance, and also introduce some of the concepts of our own approach to partner dancing which is based on connection, weight shifts, and musicality.
This class is open to students of all levels on a drop-in basis. We layer the material so that students will always be able to work on each concept at their own pace and level. Questions, feedback, and requests are highly encouraged!
