All Class and Lesson Rates

Wedding Dance Lessons

For wedding first dance lessons, we charge the following:

• $80/hr pay as you go
• $70/hr for four 1-hour lessons, paid in advance
• $80/hr + $100 choreography fee for choreographed routines (minimum two hours)
• For groups, the rate depends on group size and location

Private Lessons - General

Private lesson rates are based on the number of students:

• 1 student
  • $60/hr pay as you go
  • $200 for four lessons
• 2 students
  • $80/hr pay as you go
  • $280 for four lessons
• 3 or more students - contact us!

Shorter Lessons - 45 minutes

  • $50 pay as you go
  • $160 for four lessons
• Couple
  • $70 pay as you go
  • $240 for four lessons

Poi and Fire

Britannia Centre Poi Class (fall, winter, and spring)

• $140/10 classes (pro-rated if the session has already started)
• $16/drop-in (pay at the pool cashier)

Trout Lake

• $50 for 5 classes
• $13 drop-in
• $20 for two drop-in classes on the same day

Private Poi and Fire Lessons

One student (no fire)

• $45/hr for a single lesson
• $160 for four lessons, paid in advance

One student (with fire)

• $60/hr for a single lesson

Two students (outdoors)

• $70/hr
• $200 for four lessons, paid in advance

One student in a studio

• Studio rental: $15-30 (depending on availability)
• $50/hr

Payment Options

We accept cash, cheque, and PayPal. In almost all cases, we accept payment at the first lesson. There is no need to pay ahead of time unless you are:

• booking several months in advance
• booking studio space for a large group
• booking the exact same day/time over the course of several weeks

Scheduling

We usually schedule lessons on a week-by-week basis. This allows for slight changes in availability.

Setting up a Private Lesson

To book a private lesson, contact us and let us know what you're interested in learning and when you're available.

Cancellation Policy

We try to be as flexible as possible, since we also need to adjust our schedules occasionally. With at least 24 hours notice, we can usually fill your spot, and we won't request a cancellation fee. The more notice, of course, the better!

Can't Pay?

Dancing and teaching are how we make our living, so of course we need to ask for payment. Still, we teach because we love teaching, and we want to share our love of dance and movement with as many people as possible. If for any reason you are unable to afford our rates, please let us know. In the past we have made various arrangements that were fair for both ourselves and our students.

Service Trading

In some cases, students can offer services that are more valuable to us than direct payment. In the past, these have included: marketing/promotion, studio usage, and financial planning. Let us know if you can offer a service that you think would greatly support our goals!
