Shorter Lessons - 45 minutes
These are the shorter, 45-minute version of our usual hour-long private lessons. Shorter lessons are perfect for small groups, couples, or individuals who:
- have less time for scheduling lessons
- have a smaller budget
- want to learn a few quick moves or concepts, then practice at home
- would like a quick session or two to brush up, ask questions, or practice with direct feedback
- need help remembering material or sequencing their dance
Why 45 Minutes?
We have found that most students start to lose their ability to retain new material at around 45 minutes into each lesson. At that point they usually need to review what we have already taught them, something they could just as easily do at home. Some couples prefer to learn what they can in a shorter amount of time, and then leave early! This option has worked quite well for them!
The Short Private Lesson Approach
Our approach with shorter lessons is the same as with longer lessons, but covering less material. It's up to our students whether we take our time teaching them just a few moves or concepts, or try to fit in as much as possible.
