Poi and Fire Spinning Gear
(types of poi, other tools, and their uses)
Practice Poi
I sell chain/tennis ball poi and fabric poi (also known as sock poi, tube poi, or cone poi).
The chains are fire-ready, meaning they won't fly apart if you swap the tennis ball out for a fire head. The handles are a peach-colored leather, they include rated swivels that will last forever, and the chain is end-welded, which means it won't ever come open. Each pair is $30.
Fabric poi range in cost from $15 to $30. I will customize them to suit your color or material preference - let me know your needs!
Types of Poi
Here are the types of poi we have experience using, with notes about the benefits and drawbacks of using each. In some cases we have provided information about where to buy the materials and how to make the poi themselves.

Where to Buy Poi and Other Gear
Local Fire People
Some local fire spinners have gear and parts for sale, and it helps to ask around if you're looking for something specific. If you want to make your own, you can find chain at hardware stores, swivels at camping/fishing goods stores like 3 Vets, and fabric at places like Dressew and Textile Clearance House. Contact us if you need helping finding something!
Home of Poi - a little of everything

This website covers almost everything: fire and LED poi, staffs and other gear, parts, DVDs, online lessons, a community forum, and more. This is where most people in Vancouver buy their gear online, same with us! Again, if you purchase through the above link, we'll earn some points, and that will help us buy more gear for classes, workshops, and performances.
Flowtoys - LED Poi and More
LED poi, staffs, and other gear, and incredibly nice people. They're a small company just like us, so we love being able to support them. Any purchases you make through the above link or with the code "nightanddaydance" will help us build our business too!
