About Art Poi
Art Poi are a new form of sock, fabric, or cone poi lovingly hand made by Alison Feargrieve in Vancouver, just off Commercial Drive. A practioner of poi herself, she wasn't satisfied with the world's meagre offering of single-piece fabric poi, thick clown sock poi, or over-stretchy, poorly sewn lyrca cone poi, and my four-year old unwashed soccer sock poi truly frightened the wits out of her. She decided to do something about it, and her first goal was to address the obvious lack of physical beauty among the world's poi. I happily agreed to help her pick out the first batch of fabric, and it wasn't long until her house (and mine, after one really long solo sewing session) was covered in fuzz!
What you see here is the result of much painstaking planning, cutting, sewing, adjusting, and practice spinning, and a few polite exclamations of dismay (cussing, to put it bluntly) when things didn't go quite right (or when a new pair of poi met a house plant or two). I myself am the proud owner of the pink fuzzy poi, and they're not only fun to spin - they are a tactile joy to behold (and hold)!

Just Tell Me How Much!
Each pair is $30.
What's Included?
Each pair of poi includes two water-filled balloons as weights. They're much kinder upon impact than tennis balls, juggling balls, and packets of rocks (yes, I actually met someone who spun rock poi!) and they almost never break. If they do break during normal use, we'll replace them free of charge!
Nothing else is included - no packaging, no dessicant packets, no batteries (and no batteries are needed), no instruction booklet, no warranty card, no price tag, and no inspection sticker.
